If anyone finds a good replacement for this, please PM me. This is a belated review for a once-loved, now discontinued product. It had the highest MUA 'would repurchase' percentage of any PC moisturisers so it seems crazy they'd discontinue it. I'm very disappointed it's gone, that there was no warning so I couldn't to stock up and that the SA was very terse when I contacted PC to ask about it.
None of the other PC moisturisers for dry skin work for me. I'm allergic to the Hydrating Treatment Cream and the reformulated Skin Recovery, and the hydrating mask stuff breaks me out. PC has many products for those with oilier skin, I don't see why those of us with very dry skin are having products whittled away. continued >>

I really love the silky, lightweight feel of this moisturizer. It comes in white tube, with a squeeze bottom, which I appreciate because the product can't get contaminated like if it were in a tub. This glides smoothly around the eye area, and feels very soothing and non-irritating to my eyes. I squeeze some into a travel size tub and put it in my refrigerator, so in the mornings it feels cool on my dry skin (especially under my eyes). The only problem I have with PC is that it has to be ordered over the internet, and sometimes I don't want to put money on my credit card.

While I understand that people's preferences are idiosyncratic when it comes to moisturizers, but it suffices to just look at the overall rating for all of PC's moisturizer to come to a brute conclusion that this is definitely one of the most vociferously touted of all PC moisturizers, yet PC's discontinuing it. I hope that PC, in the process of rapid expansion of her cosmetic empire, still does some consumer survey of her own in forums like this and will come to realize what a grave mistake she has made. I am sure that she has her reasons for discontinuing this product but I'd like to hear it!

We need anyone who loves this moisturizer to complain to Paula's Choice that it is discontinued. This is the best I have ever used, and I have used some very expensive lines. Nothing has compared to this one in my opinion, and the price was great. Please phone or email. I would order a case if they brought it back.

Yes, it sucks that it's being discontinued, it was the best moisturizer from the entire line. It had the most consistent and highest amounts of antioxidants, including Superoxide Dismutase that was lacking in the others. Apparently, it was discontinued because it wasn't popular enough, very disappointing because those crazy about it have a hard time finding an equal substitute for the same price.

What a shock - Free Shipping weekend has arrived, and this product is gone. This is the best cream moisturizer I've ever used. It completely absorbs into my skin (which the PC Skin Recovery Moisturizer doesn't), while making my undereye skin and neck so soft. Why would a company discontinue a product if they make nothing else remotely similar to it? Now what's left of her skin care products are more geared towards normal skin. I have emailed the company too with my reaction. Guess now I'll have to go back to the outrageously priced Shiseido Benefiance for the eyes. Obviously, Paula is no longer about "saving consumers money."

Anyone who loves this moisturizer please contact Paula's choice as they have discontinued this one. I love it and now it isn't available. Maybe if enough people make noise they will bring it back. I already emailed them.

This isn't at all a heavy cream. It sinks into the skin immediately. I love the way this feels. My skin is really nice and soft and it feels great when I wake up in the morning. I highly recommend this product.

This is an excellent moisturizer. I initially tried Paula's Skin recovery moisturizer to combat dry, flaky winter skin, but found it feeling a bit heavy, but at the same time didn't seem to banish my dry patches. Through MUA's reviews, I ordered this. I think extra emoillient's texture is much better--it's super easy to spread and seems to soak in instantly. The strange thing is, skin recovery does a better job to make my skin look initially hydrated (all flakes gone), but with extra emoillient my skin looked like it still had some flakes after awhile. However, the extra emoillent moisturizer makes my skin FEEL and look better in the morning. I can only gather that this moisturizer probably sinks into the skin better. I think this is an underated product because most dry skinned people either go with the regular emoillent moisturizer, or the skin recovery--and no one really thought of the in-between one!
And also, it wears well undermakeup--it's not as heavy feeling as the skin recover. EDIT: for some reason, my skin still looks dry/flaky after using this alone. So, now I layer PC's skin recovery moisturizer on top and the combination works really well. I have given my skin a break from BHAs, and this combined with the two moisturizers have made my skin nice and smooth. But I wish I didn't have to use TWO different moisturizers though...took one lippie off

This was my first PC purhcase, and I have been very pleased thus far. I recently have been having major skin issues, my skin has been changing a lot as I become older and it's been getting drier. When I first tried this I thought it was quite thin and I didn't think it would be able to moisturize my skin enough b/c it didn't have a heavy greasy feel like some other moisturizers. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this absorbed into my skin and moisturized. It was very soothing and helped heal some of the redness I had around my mouth. I will definitely try out her other products.

I haven't really been all that impressed with Paula's Choice products, so I was delighted to try out this moisturizer and discover that it is actually really quite good. I have combo skin that tends to be dry, but oily....if that makes sense. Its also very, very sensitive. I had tried the Paula's Choice Hydrating Cream, which is just aweful, by the way, and this was my last chance for her products.
It hydrates and moisturizes really well, without being greasy, and its a long lived, like all day kind of hydration. This kind of intense moisturization also helps to reduce irritation redness in my face....so I was really happy.
I think that this is probably a really under rated moisturiser from Paula that you don't hear people mention often - if you have dry skin, give it a go!

oily lotion that sits on top of my skin and takes a long time to soak in. what's much smoother and silkier: her higher end hydrating cream.

More moisturizing than the Completely Emollient Moisturizer, but not as moisturizing as the Hydrating Treatment Cream (my HG). Doesn't feel very smooth on. This will be good for people who are dry/normal, but I need something more. Also, it doesn't smell as good as the Hydrating Treatment Cream. I know they're all unfragranced, but they still have their own individual scents. Completely Emollient smells like old bread, and Extra Emollient smells like...I don't know exactly, but it's not good. EDIT: I don't know what I was thinking before. A while ago I found that my Hydrating Treatment Cream just wasn't giving me enough moisture anymore...and then I realized that it's formulated for 'all skin types'. I decided to give Extra Emollient another try, since it's formulated for normal to extra dry skin, and wow! It's so nice to have a moisturizer that doesn't abandon me to flakes by lunchtime. I use this all the time now, and the Hydrating Treatment is now my eye cream. continued >>

Very nice. It leaves my skin feeling moisturized and a bit damp. The texture is somewhat between cream and lotion. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. I even use it on my dermatitis patch without any problem.
I wish they made this for body lotion, i.e. cheaper price!

This is the perfect eye cream for me -- emollient, no fragrances, no exfoliating acids and inexpensive. I wear this both night and day, and am now using it more than ever, due to my neck's (unfortunate) changing texture. It's hard to figure out why something so basic is so difficult to find -- in drugstores OR department stores -- but I'm glad at least one company has thought of it.

I liked this at first, but after a week or som it started to make me break out.

This is a very thick moisturizer. I have very dry skin, so it works rather well for me. I use it as a night cream, since there is no SPF, and it doesn't seem to completely absorb. No frills, a bit of bad smell, but also what I need right now for night!

What a coincidence! As Colleen (a reviewer bellow), I also use this has an eye cream! I have super sensitive and dry skin and this moisturizer is God-sent for my eye area. It's super rich, yet it has a light texture and feel that's well absorbed by the skin. It keeps my eye area very well moisturized and free of fine-lines at all times. I layer it on in the winter and never get clogged pores or puffy eyes from this cream. Also, it's a true bargain as an eye cream since it's 2 Oz. and it will last you at least a year! UPDATE: After 3 yrs, I think I finished my last tube of this cream. It worked great in LA, but I need something heavier for Seattle or Portugal. These days I'm sampling Sage's and Shiseido's eye creams. Extra was great for undereyes, but too oily for all over, so no longer usefull to me. I suppose this is still great for very dry skins, non-prone to acne or cloggs. continued >>

I got a generous sample of this. Texture wise this was fine, but for the usually unscented Paula's Choice line, this moisturizer had an awful old lady odor that I even found nauseating. Be warned.
